The history of Il Rovo began in 2004 under the name Le 2 Mele in a small production facility in Oneglia, a district of Imperia. The production of jams and fruit spreads has developed into a diverse range over the years.
Since 2019, the company has been producing inBorgomaro in the Ligurian hinterland. With the arrival of the second generation, the name was changed to Il Rovo in 2024. While Le 2 Mele continues to stand for sweet specialties, Il Rovo characterizes the savory product line.
The name “Il Rovo” means blackberry bush and stands for resilience, protection and renewal. The connection to nature and the careful selection of raw materials characterize the family business.
