The history of Il Rovo began in 2004 as a family business in the center of Imperia. Today the company is based in Borgomaro, a Ligurian village in the hinterland, surrounded by olive trees.
In September 2024, the company name was changed from “Le 2 Mele” to “Il Rovo”. Both brands continue to belong to the company: Le 2 Mele stands for sweet products with over 30 types of jams and jams, Il Rovo for savory specialties such as tomato sauces, pestos and olive oils.
The name “Il Rovo” means blackberry bush. For the family business, it symbolizes strength, protection and renewal - a resilient plant that bears valuable fruit. Selected raw materials and carefully developed recipes characterize the range.
