The creamy specialty consists of 99% organic honey and is refined with 1% essential oil of the protected Bergamotto di Reggio Calabria DOP. The bergamot from Calabria is known for its particularly intense and characteristic citrus aroma.
The result is a finely crystallized, easily spreadable Organic honey cream with pearl white to light beige color. The natural sweetness of honey harmonizes wonderfully with the fresh, aromatic scent and delicate aftertaste of bergamot.
Solmielato produces high quality Organic honey from Italy and works according to the principle of migratory beekeeping. Depending on the flower, the bee colonies are moved to selected areas Sicily and Calabria brought. Organically managed citrus plantations, natural fields and forest areas offer bees ideal conditions for collecting nectar.
The honey is made at Solmielato obtained cold from the honeycombs and neither pasteurized nor exposed to high temperatures. This particularly gentle processing preserves the natural character and valuable organoleptic properties of the honey.
The organic honeys used are not blended or mixed with other honeys and come 100% from Italy.
