The history of Il Rovo began in 2004 under the name Le 2 Mele in a small production facility in Oneglia, a district of Imperia. Over the years, the production of jams and fruit spreads has developed into a range of sweet and savory specialties.
The family business has been producing in Borgomaro in the Ligurian hinterland since 2019. With the arrival of the second generation, the name was changed to Il Rovo in 2024. Le 2 Mele continues to stand for sweet products, while Il Rovo characterizes the savory product line.
The name “Il Rovo” means blackberry bush and symbolizes resilience, protection and renewal. Selected raw materials and carefully developed recipes characterize the work of the family business.
